Cycling nearby was great, I almost fell off the bike twice, so much fun! The apartment had a fancy private entrance, made me feel like a secret agent.
Oh, the nearest airport is just super conveniently located, took me ages to get there. Really, who needs a convenient airport anyway?

Aidan gave us a fantastic tour of the property, and our clean and well-equipped rooms had everything we needed. the yoga studio, library, and cosy open living room were great additions, and breakfast with Joyce was always a treat. the freshly baked bread, variety of warm breakfast options, cereals, fruits, and breads made for a fantastic start to the day. We can't wait to return and enjoy the beautiful house and location again. Thank you, Aidan and Joyce, for your hospitality. Cons: Could not be improved in any way! 👍.

We had the most enjoyable stay at Castlehacket House. The house itself is stunning, with a beautiful ambiance as you drive through the gates. The hosts were incredibly lovely, providing us with great suggestions for local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and Joyce even left us freshly baked bread and other goodies. We loved lounging in the drawing room beside the cozy log fire, surrounded by luxurious furnishings. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower had hot water all day. We also adored Chai, their adorable dog. our experience at Castlehacket House was beyond amazing.
Despite a minor inconvenience with the cooker, the host provided us full support, making sure our stay was still comfortable. We also wish we could have stayed longer.

The house itself is absolutely stunning, full of charm and character. The staff were friendly and provided great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The countryside surrounding the property is breathtaking, offering beautiful walks and scenic views. the public rooms were available for relaxation and had a cozy atmosphere.
The room could use some improvement, as there were a few cobwebs and spiders in the corners. the heat was turned off during the night, making the room and bathroom uncomfortably cold.
